How do you transform yourself, and what in to? You may be thinking that if you did not feel so negative, or could be more spontaneous, or even enjoy more fun in life, then that would transform you.
You think you are stuck with old habits and behaviours, but that is not true. What is true is that your thinking has become habitual, and you don't know how to change it. Consciously you want to quite naturally, but unconsciously that old programme keeps running. Metaphorically you want to re-boot your brain.
So imagine that you could do just that, and that your brain just needed filling up with positive thoughts. You would have to get used to thinking and feeling positive, and practice thinking that way.
Sounds simple? Well sometimes the most simple things work the best. Have a go for a day. Every day think of all the things you like to do and how you like to be. Anytime a negative thought enters your mind, dump it, delete it and continue timing good things. Notice how good you feel at the end of the day

Getting facts right
It's always good to read in the EDP that someone is interested in hypnotherapy, but one fact was incorrect. The UEA does not hold courses in hypnotherapy. What it does do is hire rooms out to companies who train there. Sadly some people believe that they are being university trained when that is not the case. Great marketing from a business point of view, but incorrect to make the assumption that it is a university course. Anyone contemplating studying hypnotherapy whether it is called a 'hypnotherapy' or 'clinical hypnotherapy' ( same thing), should do research in what kind of provider they are looking for. Some courses offer 12 days training for a year and then leave you to study on your own with no supervision. If the man in the EDP article wants to be trained properly and with real external accreditations, he should research the subject very carefully. What is now referred to as the 'Gold Standard' in hypnotherapy training, is the NCFE and National Council for Hypnotherapy. Anything less may not be good enough for clients.

Bring back the Waltons
I recall watching the Waltons American TV show in the late 60s. The show was about an American family living in the 1930s. Basically they promoted good beliefs and values. How many soaps these days do that?
Family life is all about beliefs and values, and sadly many kids are growing up thinking they have to be famous to succeed, or can let the government look after them. How can we return to real values and beliefs.

Doomsday for 'fat Britain' is closer than we think
According to Daily Health sciences, we are heading for doomsday for a nation of being grossly overweight.
It is not easy to stick to diets as such, but changing lifestyles for good can work. The one thing that hypnosis can do is to change your thought processes. Hypnosis deals with unconscious thoughts. If your cause of excess weight is emotional, then it is time to deal with your emotions, and make permanent changes in your life.

More young people are being treated for alcohol related diseases
Heavy binge drinking is proving that young people are invincible. If you can't remember much about a heavy nights drinking, your brain is suffering the effects of toxic poisoning. Your liver is the powerhouse of your body, treat it badly and it will fail you. If you can go for a week or a month without an alcohol, you will feel much better. If you struggle to do this, you are addicted to alcohol, and need help to get into control of it.

Phil Everly
How sad that Phil Everly has died through COPD. Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder, mostly associated with smoking. He was a heavy smoker, but it just goes to show that no matter how much fame, or money, n e you have destroyed your lungs, that's it really. You have to want to stop. It's no good saying you enjoy it. You may well do, but the enjoyment could turn to fear once you get some kind of disease from it. I think it is reasonable to fully know that if you fill your lungs and blood cells with nicotine something bad will happen to you a some point in your life. 74 is no age now, so I am sure if Phil Everly could have his time again he would not smoke.
If you cannot do it by will power, use every other method you can, as something will work. Never give up wanting to give up, before the cigarettes give you up!!
