How to get over traumatic events

How do we get over, or overcome traumatic events? How do we define trauma? For some it may Amman illness or accidents. For others it could mean significant events and experiences which has caused them great anxiety. Time is a healer, and we do have to give ourselves time to come to terms with whatever the event has been. Whether it is a breakdown in a relationship, and the feelings of hurt and betrayal, or whether it is illness or loss of job and money, they all have significant emotional impacts on our mind. We can try to be brave and do all the practical things, but it is the emotional aspect that takes its toll. Talking to someone who is not involved helps as they help you to take a more objective view and change your perspectives too
