E cigarettes are potentially more helpful than patches because they are addressing the psychological addiction of putting something into your mouth. You are still getting the nicotine too. So why don't they work for some people? If you are getting the nicotine and going through the action, what makes it difficult to stop smoking eventually?
The answer is you are still hooked on to nicotine and it is the drug. Gong cold turkey sends you nuts, cutting down for a while only leads you back into it again too.
Most of our cravings are psychological and this is what needs to be addressed as with any addiction.You simply believe that you need it and can@t do without it. You know there was a time when you did not smoke, but you can only think of now and how you feel without it.
It makes no sense to you at all because unless you have landed from another planet, you know what it does and can do to you. Pure and simple poison and you go ahead and poison yourself day in and day out. You know it causes anxiety and depression, but you go into denial about that.
Your head is cluttered with thoughts that you hate it and yet you need it. Bit like loving, or thinking you love someone who treats you really badly, but you go back for more.
You will know when the time is right to de-clutter your head and use very powerful techniques to enable you to stop smoking for good.
